Quite a busy week ahead.  Looking forward to several shows, throughout Florida, over the next 10 days.

I'm heading to Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Fort Walton Beach, and Tampa.  Tampa is, of course, home of the big show on May 21st.  We'll be doing a big bash sponsored by Monster Energy Drink at Sidesplitters Comedy Club in Tampa.  Can't wait for the one-night-only event, and am looking forward to seeing all of you who have been emailing me in advance.  I hear from so many people in Florida; I really should visit there more often.  I'm sure this week will solidify that feeling.

Keep looking for me on Florida TV in the next week, promoting the event, as well as on local radio.

After that, most of you in The States won't be seeing me until July, when I return to Detroit the first week of that month.  Will be at Joey's Comedy Club.  Until then, it's off to Western Canada for several shows in the grand old Provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan.  Going to be a blast.

So, what are YOUR plans for the summer?

Well, I'm back from vacation!

It was a great couple of weeks, but I'm back home now and preparing for yet another tour on the road.  Actually, I'm not being completely honest.  I wasn't "off" the past two weeks; I was in the Bahamas at The Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island, working at Joker's Wild, the Comedy Club there.  Honestly, though, it was such a great time, I hardly considered it work.  The days I spent relaxing and just getting away from the business of show busness, so I like to think of it as a vacation.  I've been going almost non-stop for the past several years, so it was nice to just stop and catch my breath.

But I'm back now and ready to hit the comedy world with all I've got, all over again.  Excited about my summer tour in Western Canada, as well as my big show on May 21st in Tampa, Florida.  Please come check me out at Sidesplitters and see what all the fuss is about.  www.sidesplitterscomedy.com has more info.

Nice to keep getting emails from all of you.  Keep them coming, and stick around during this very new, very exciting chapter in my life and career.  I know you're all going to enjoy the new book, the new CD, and--hopefully--the new DVD.

Check out my friend Matt Davis at www.daviscomedy.com when you get the chance.  He's a hilarious comedian and a good guy.  He kept me laughing while we worked together at The Atlantis.  My best to you, Matt.  Always.

Until the new site is completed (which it will be very, very soon) just keep going to www.wordsfromward.blogspot.com for the finest in online humor, courtesy of yours truly..!

So what's next, gang?  Where should this guy take his comedy show next?  For now, I'll be taking it to Cincinnati, Ohio.  Will be at Go Bananas Comedy Club this week.  See you there, I hope!

REALLY BIG SHOW!

Alright, everyone, here's the scoop:

I will be performing a one-night-only special show in Tampa, Florida, on Wednesday, May 21st.  The show is going to be at Sideplitters Comedy Club, and is a tie-in with "The Ultimate Bachelor's Guide" and a Charity Bachelor's Auction in Tampa.  It's going to be a blast so, if you're going to be anywhere near Tampa, please come check out the show.

$10 gets you a ticket to the show, but $15 gets you a ticket to the show and a copy of "The Ultimate Bachelor's Guide", signed by yours truly.  Also, a list of local Bachelor's will be named who are going to be autcioned off to thie higest bidder later this July in Tampa.  Should be a helluva night.

More news on this event will happen as it comes, but check out this site and www.sidesplitterscomedy.com for more information, photos, and a look at the entire promotion.

This is a bit different than my usual gigs, since I'll be headlining a major charity event and doing a one-night-only type deal.  If you live in the area, keep your eyes and ears open for local promotions, including my apperance on local TV and radio.

See you at the show!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day, everyone!

Before you go outside, drink some green beer, and get into a wonderful bar fight, take a moment to stop and remember just what St. Patrick's Day is all about.  Don't know?  Me neither.  Now go enjoy being Irish for a day.

Will be cruising into Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club in North Carolina this week, followed by Pineville, North Carolina next week.  I'll send a personal invite to all of you in the Carolinas via email and myspace.  Drop me a line if you're coming out to the show.

"The Ultimate Bachelor's Guide" is now marked down for a limited time on amazon.com.  Click on "The Book" to check it out.  I don't sell it at my live shows anymore (too difficult to keep in stock while I'm traveling), so the only way to get a copy these days is online or to order it through a bookstore.  Since Amazon is selling it for little over 10 bucks, I always recommend them.

More funny stuff can always be found here: www.wordsfromward.blogspot.com and videos are here: www.youtube.com/wardrick

Enjoy March.  Keep emailing me and I'll keep writing back!

So, the website is a little bit different.  Do you like it?  I changed to background color to black because it's easier on the eyes than the old red/brown that was there before.  Also, I added my new promo photo to the Home Page.  Whaddya think?

"The Ultimate Bachelor's Guide" is currently on sale on amazon.com.  Great time to get a copy of the book before they jack the price back up to it's regular cover-price.  I will, of course, sign a copy of the book if you bring it to a show anytime in the future.

I'm now selling a DVD at my shows.  If you want a copy of the CD I was selling, you can email me at ward@wardanderson.net and I can send one to you.  I can also send you the DVD, of course, if I'm not coming to a club near you anytime soon.

Thanks for the kind emails that keep coming my way.  Always cool to hear from you.  You can also leave public comments on my myspace page www.myspace.com/wardanderson or, if you want to do some reading, leave a comment at www.wordsfromward.blogspot.com

On my way to Detroit this week.  Hope to see some of you at the show!

Alrighty, so I'm actually off for a week before heading to Kansas City next week.  Should be exciting.  I'll be performing at Stanford and Sons comedy club for the first time.  Looking forward to it.

I'm using this spot more for "News" these days, but you can always read my humor articles and regular rants about nothing at my Blog.  Check it out here:  www.wordsfromward.blogspot.com

Just booked the entire month of June in Alberta, Canada.  Looking forward to going there while it's WARM, for a change.  I always seem to travel there when it's coldest.  It'll be cool to visit when there's some sunshine and no snow.  I'll be working for The Laugh Shop comedy clubs.  New clubs, and I'm looking foward to seeing them.  Will keep you posted as it goes along.

There's more news on the horizon, but nothing I can tell you 100% just yet.  Keep checking back here and at the blog.  Something will be announced as soon as it happens..!

ATTENTION: EVERYONE!

Yours truly is the organizer of a new movement.  That's right, it's a huge movement, not unlike the enormous Presedential Campaigns being run in the States right this very minute.  This is not a campaign, however, it's actually something much, much, bigger and much, much more important.  It's something that affects every man, woman, and child in North America.

Called "Operation: Wreath Out", this movement is a call to arms.  That is to say, I want everyone in North America to USE their arms and remove the Christmas Wreaths from their front doors.  If I have to wait for St. Patrick's Day for you to do it, I'm going to start taking the gnomes off your front lawns and holding them hostage.  The time is now!  Change can happen!  BELIEVE IN "OPERATION: WREATH OUT"!

Join me and, together, we can take back the Holiday Season and return it to where it belongs: A week before Halloween.

See: "Operation: Reach Out" in the "NOTES" Section, and visit www.wordsfromward.blogspot.co as often as possible.

So, I'm on tour all over again.  Seems I rarely slow down.  I always hear about comedians who only tour a couple of weeks a month, and I wonder how they do it.  I think there's definitely part of me that would love to slow down, but a bigger part that has no clue exactly how I would do it, if I could.

With that in mind, I'm going to be in Pennsylvania and parts of Iowa in February (taking one of my THREE weeks off this year at the end of the month), followed by some Kansas and Michigan gigs in March, with two weeks in The Bahamas, like I do every year.  Looking forward to visiting The Atlantis this year in the early spring, when it's still cold in Toronto, unlike last year, when I was there in JUNE!!

Got a funny little book on the way, although not the novel I've been promising for so long.  THAT will have to wait, I'm afraid, but there's still new material on the way.  I'll be selling a new humor book at my shows this spring; something easy to read and yet fun to take with you at the end of the show.  Hope you all like it.  It will NOT be for everyone, I'll just say that.  But, hopefully, you'll all enjoy it.

New clips on youtube.com this month.  Check out what's already there and what's to come by going here: www.youtube.com/wardrick and, as always, check out my blog at www.myspace.com/wardanderson , although I can't tell you how much longer I'm putting up with myspace.  I'm on Facebook, too...so check it out when you can.

What's up with you in 2008?  Got a New Year's Resolution you haven't broken yet?!

Hey...

This is not a typical entry for me...but, here goes:

"RENT", on Broadway, is closing on June 1st, 2008.  This is a wonderful, important musical for me (I was almost a member of the touring production) and a GREAT production to see.  After 12 years on Broadway, the show is closing this year.  It's been quite a ride, but the show has endured, and is really a show that I'm proud to have enjoyed all these years (does that sound too sappy on my part?)...!

If you get the chance, you need to see "RENT" before it closes.  It's at the Neaderlander Theatre in NYC on Broadway.  Get tickets before it closes.  You'll be glad you caught it!  The movie does NOT do the play justice, although the music from the movie is great (most of the original cast is in the movie), regardless.  Go see it live!!

Happy New Year!

2007 flew by so fast, I still can't believe we're already in a new year.  I'm more excited now than I've ever been before, my friends, and--indeed--am happier than I've been in a long, long time.  2008 is looking to be a helluva year (knock on wood, please) for yours truly, and I'm thrilled to have all of you along for the ride.

So many exciting things to come.  I'm currently in Ottawa, Ontario, at my FAVORITE club in the world: Absolute Comedy.  Yes, my friends, there is now an Absolute Comedy in Toronto, only minutes away from my home, but the club in Ottawa has such a vibe to it that I cannot explain.  I can only hope that the club in Toronto (Also an amazing club, btw) is just as nice.

This site is about to have a whole new look, and I'll be updating it much more frequently than I did in 2007.  Stay tuned for blogs and videos and all kinds of stuff that, hopefully, will keep you coming around as the year rolls on.

Thanks for visiting the site.  Please keep coming back...and drop me a line anytime.

See you soon,

Ward

Hope you all had an amazing Holiday Season '07. December was one of my busiest months all year, with shows that took me all over parts of Canada, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, West Virginia, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Now I get to take it easy for a few weeks and work at home, in Toronto.

Going to be heading back to Ottawa in January. Looking forward to playing my FAVORITE club, Absolute Comedy. Of course, for you Torontonians looking for laughs, you can always check me out at Absolute Comedy in Toronto, over at Yonge and Eglinton. Today Ontario, tomorrow the WORLD!

2008 is upon us. Hope to see you all then, and I have NO DOUBT that you'll all be seeing so much more of me. Get ready for it.

This just in!!
It has been DEMANDED that I say this: Here's my official SHOUT OUT to Laura and Carlie!!!
10/22/2007
Sorry that it's been so long since I've written in this blog. I've been back and forth between Canada and The States, doing my shows and touring. Plus I had to move into my new apartment. Needless to say, I've been busy and a bit lazy about writing the blog. I can now catch up a bit.

Had a blast in Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Kentucky in September and October. I especially had a great time in Aurora (outside Chicago), Illinois, at ComedyComedy Live. What a great club to work. Great crowds, great staff, and a great club runner. Bert Borth is a funny guy and pleasure to work with. My best to the singles' group who came out my show (for the second time, no less) over the weekend. You divorcee's are a blast. Hello to Wendy and Amy!

I taped another episode of MuchMusic's TV show "Video on Trial" a couple of weeks ago. It's set to air on November 4th, so set your DVR's now!! I'll keep you all informed and, hopefully, it will be available to view online somewhere soon.

I will be in Toronto for most of November, helping to promote the new club "Absolute Comedy" on Yonge Street. My buddy, Jason Laurans is the owner and I'm glad to see him expanding his business. Absolute Comedy in Ottawa is a great club, so I'm hoping the same goes for Toronto's newest comedy venture.

See you all soon!

More Stuff About Ward:

Once again, I answer your questions in a handy-dandy lil' blog. Hope this gives you more details about the mystery that is Ward Anderson

First Car: 1984 Toyota Camry. My father bought a new car, so I inherited this vehicle my senior year in high school. It was also the car I'd been driving since I was 16, so I easily adjusted to it. When my brother's Celica died on him, while we were both at University, I had to give him The Camry. Curses! Of course, a year later I inherited my mother's old Mazda RX-7 when she got a new car. Har de har har! That's the last time my car was cooler than my brother's. CURSES!

Current Car: Honda Accord.

Other cars I've had: 1989 Chevy Cavalier. 1990 Honda Civic. 1993 Saturn SC-2. 1989 Nissan Pathfinder. 1996 Honda Passport.

Where I went to University: The University of Georgia. Athens, Georgia. I was an amazingly mediocre student who somehow graduated in 4 years with a BA in Speech Communications. Biggest flaw while at University: too many absences.

First "real job" after University: Sold cell phones when they were still a foot long and weighed a couple of pounds.

Last "real job" before being a comedian: Wine consultant.

Worst "real job" I ever had: Telemarketing. Sold magazine subscriptions. Hated it. Sucked at it. Got fired for cursing on the line to a customer. She had it coming.

The CD I'm listening to right now: "It won't be soon before long", The new Maroon 5 CD. It's great, btw.

Favorite TV show this past summer: "Burn Notice" on the USA network. Smart and funny. Dig it. Second runner-up is, of course, "The Closer" on TNT.

Cities where I've lived: Atlanta, Detroit, Atlantic City, NYC, Princeton, Washington DC, Toronto.

That oughta suffice for the next week or so. See you next time.

Ernie Butler - RIP

Got some very sad news today. Ernie Butler, owner of The Comedy Nest in Montreal, Quebec, passed away (8/28/07) at the age of 58.

Besides being a club owner and the first person to bring live stand-up comedy to Montreal, Ernie was also a great radio host. He truly loved comedy (and comedians) and it showed.

Ernie was the first club owner in Canada to recognize me and bring me across the border. Working at The Comedy Nest was a real high point in my career at the time because it was the first time I'd worked outside the States. Because of the great friendship I formed with the people at The Nest (including manager Gordon Mills), I became fascinated with Canada, fell in love with it, and began working throughout the country whenever I got the chance. Not even two years later, I moved to Toronto (where I now live) so I could really experience a new kind of life and see what it was like to live in another country. Had it not been for that first week in Montreal, I likely never would've gone on to work in Canada at all, much less made it my home.

I owe much to Ernie Butler, if just the fact that he believed in me enough to keep bringing me back to Montreal and back to the Comedy Nest. I considered him a friend, and I will miss him.

Rest in peace, Ernie.

Man! What a summer it was...and, since it's so hot outside, still is. This has easily been the best summer thus far on the Ward Anderson Tour De Force that I like to call my comedy career. Let's recap:

Had a blast in Knoxville, Tennessee, as always. Such a great group of partiers in that town. Always willing to laugh and have a great time. Just stop drinking so much. I can't take anymore shots from Knoxvillians (as I affectionately call them) while I'm trying to work. But I enjoyed it, nonetheless.

My best to everyone at The Comedy Zone in Palm Harbor, Florida. Tracy Tedesco is a very funny comic. Check her out whenever you get the chance. Had the good luck of having her open for me this past weekend. It was a pleasure, Tracy...best of luck to ya!

Thanks to everyone who emailed me after hearing me on AM 1290, Am 850, AM 1400, and AM 1140. Didn't know I knew so much about wine, dija?! Well, I'm going to be a regular contributor, it seems, to the "Cherries for Life" radio show, occasionally dropping by or calling in to give my opinion on wine and food pairing, as well as humorous little thoughts on life in general. Be sure to check out www.cherriesforlife.com to find out more about Ingrid Gee, Mark, and everyone else that makes it such a great radio show. Keep listening!

I'm on my way back to Oklahoma City next week. Always great to see the folks at The Loony Bin. There will be an article about yours truly in "The Oklahoman" newspaper sometime that week, so getcherself a copy and read all about it! I'll be on several radio stations beginning Wednesday, September 5th, promoting the shows and taking your calls. No matter where you are, call in! I'll post the schedule as soon as I get the info.

After that, I'll be heading out to Wichita, Kansas. Keep your eyes on "The Wicita Eagle" newspaper to find out what's new with all things Ward. Also, I'll be appearing on a few radio stations that week. Keep posted HERE for details.

Looking forward to fall, myself, since this summer has been a scorcher. But I'm glad I toured everywhere I did, even if some of the places were more humid than I'm used to dealing with.

Keep the emails coming and I'll keep answering them. If you see the "Coming Soon" poster of me in your local comedy club or bookstore...well...be there!

See you soon,

Ward

07/25/2007

Well, after touring almost the entire first half of the year, I'm happy to have a week off and be at home in Toronto. It's been quite a ride, and 2007 has been flying by like crazy. Before you know it, I'll be planning my Holiday Parties and sending out cards. I'm about to embark on another two months on the road so, by the time I get back home again, fall will be kicking in.

Thanks to everyone who saw me on TV recently and wrote to point it out. Glad you liked the show. More TV stuff on the way in the near future, I promise. Keep checking here for listings.

One of my favorite comedy clubs, Comix Cafe in Buffalo, closed down a couple of months ago. Sad to see it go that way, especially since I was just there in May. Hopefully, if all goes well, Buffalo will have a great comedy club there again someday. I hate to see that town go without. It's always so cool to visit there.

My best to Canadian comic Deborah DiGiovanni who, last I heard, was in the top finalists on "Last Comic Standing". I don't watch the show, but I'm glad to hear that Deb is doing well. Keep an eye out for her over the next year. I've no doubt that she's headed for big things.

Now is the perfect time for you to purchase "The Ultimate Bachelor's Guide" from amazon.com! It's on sale and makes for a great summertime read! The only thing better than having me in your pool is my book poolside while you enjoy the sun. Yes, that's right...Shameless plug!!

So, I guess I'll be seeing you Arkansas and Oklahoma fans in the upcoming weeks! Get ready for it!

06/18/2007

So, Happy Father's Day to all of you Dads out there.  I know I wish only the best for my dear-old-dad who has always been there to support and believe in me.  I'm a very lucky guy to have two great parents who believe in this crazy thing I do for a living.

Just celebrated another birthday this past Saturday (the 16th) and I must tell you, the pangs of getting older don't really hit me.  I'm so much more comfortable now with who I am and where I'm going than I ever was in my early 20s.  There's a definite comfort in realizing that the number of years old you are doesn't have to affect you in the way you always believed it would.

I was supposed to do some gigs in Matthews, NC, as well as Panama City and Fort Walton Beach, Florida.  But, due to schedule mishaps, I'm in The Bahamas for 2 more weeks.  That's right, a month in The Bahamas.  Every once in a while, things work out so well, don't they?  Don't be jealous.  It has rained almost every day for two straight weeks here.  Back home, in Toronto, it has been sunny and beautiful every day.  CURSES!

Hope you are all having a great summer.  Thanks for all the "I love Marshmallows" photos.  Will have them up shortly!

-Ward

5/26/2007

So, we apparently skipped spring and went straight into summer, eh?  One minute it was freezing outside, the next it was time to hit the beach.  Not that I'm complaining, of course.  This was one of the coldest winters I can remember.  Of course, I did spend most of the winter in some of the coldest places in the country.  Hmmmm...Maybe next year I should plan my Bahamas shows in February..?

As I approach another birthday, I stop and think about how my life changes from one year to the next.  It's been very interesting, for sure.  This time last year, I was living in Washington DC and focusing on the usual grind.  Next thing you know, I'm living in Toronto, touring two countries, and lining up new management.  There's so much that I've experienced over the past year, I'm truly a lucky man...even if I don't see it that way from time to time.

I've met some great people over this year and am happy to have forged some really great friendships.  It's hard sometimes, being on the road all the time.  But the emails and photos you guys send me always make the traveling a little bit easier.  Thanks for that.

I'm going to start putting more photos up on the "Photos" section.  If you send me a photo of yourself, I'll put it on the site, whether I'm in the photo or not.  Just take a picture with some kind of sign that reads anything from "Hi Ward" or "I love Marshmallows" (my personal favorite, of course).  I'd love to get more pics up than just the club photos.

So, drop me a line and say hello.  I'm never too busy that I can't respond to the people who make my career possible.

Enjoy the sun!

-Ward

Happy Spring to you all!

Of course, if you live in Georgia (where I'm originally from) I should probably wish you a Happy Summer, since it likely already started.  Spring lasts about 2 weeks there.  That's about it.

I'll be heading to Virginia, Delaware, and Maryland next week.  Hope to see my regular fans and friends in those states.  After that, I'm off to Rochester and Buffalo, NY.  Then, it's off to Ottawa, Ontario.  Three of my favorite cities to perform in, and I'm doing them back-to-back-to-back!  Can't wait to check it out.

My best to PJ Butland.  Great comedian.  If you get the chance, make sure you check out this Michigan funnyman.

Quick aside:  What am I gonna do with only 3 episodes left in this season's "24"?!?!

The summer will bring many shows down south, so bring your sunblock and let's have some laughs.  2007 is flying by like a mofo.

Ward answers some Fan Mail:

Q:  Why did you move to Canada?  Jeff.  Buffalo, NY

A:  A lot of people have been asking me this, Jeff.  It's because "Second Cup" is so much better than "Starbucks"!  But, really, the best and most honest answer I can give you is that I just fell in love with Toronto and Canada, in general.  After touring through Ottawa and Montreal and other cities, I got to know the people and the country a little better.  After my ex and I split up last year, I didn't have any reason to stay in Washington DC.  So, I decided "what the hell" and moved to Toronto.  As luck would have it, the city liked me back, so I'm enjoying the change of scenery.   I still do much (if not most) of my touring in The States, however, and that will always be my "home"..especially Georgia.

Q:  When is the next book coming out?  Kelley.  Lynchburg, VA

A:  Good question, Kelley.  I'll let you know when I know!  I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with the next book.  When I wrote "The Ultimate Bachelor's Guide", everything went so smoothly and so fast.  It was a quick, easy humor book that was easy to promote.  What better way to sell a humor book than on a comedy tour?  Well, the new book is completely different.  It's a novel that could be described as either a thriller or horror story, since it's about a serial killer (!!) and not at all what you'd expect me to write.  Of course, that was the idea in the first place.  I wanted to write something completely different.  Well, the publisher backed out.  They wanted another humor book (which I still might write), which sent me back to the drawing board.  So now I'm looking for another publisher AND another literary agent.  It's a long process that just takes time and patience.  I'm hopeful, however, that the book will make it's way public before too long.

Q:  Any acting projects coming up?  --Melissa.  Bellville, NJ.

A:  I'm really too busy touring this year to do any auditioning.  I've done a few TV appearances as myself, of course, but haven't been in New York, Toronto, or LA long enough to really commit to reading for any movies or TV parts.  Not that I wouldn't like to do some new projects or anything like that, but I'd have to take time off from touring in order to really sign on for anything.  If something comes along, great.  Otherwise, I'll have to wait until the timing is better.

Q:  Where's the new website you keep taling about?  ---Jen.  Oklahoma City, OK.

A:  What?  This one isn't good enough for you?!?!?!  Seriously, the problem with this is that I'm computer illiterate.  See, my webmaster is my brother, a computer genius.  Since BOTH of my brothers are computer experts, I never felt the need to learn it like they did (On the flip side, they both suck on stage) and my website is always at the mercy of someone else.  Well, my brother is a busy man and simply hasn't been able to update it as quickly as originally planned.  But, hey, the guy is busy.  Cut him some slack.  Seriously, we ARE working on this and it WILL be done soon.  I'm thinking a buddy of mine might get around to doing it for me.  I'm hoping for all kinds of cool stuff on the new site, too, including a message board where you can all talk to one another.  That'd be kick-ass, right?

Q:  Do you really like marshmallows?  Dan.  Bloomington, IN

A:  Very funny.  And yes.  But please, do not send me any marshmallows and please don't show up at my gigs with any marshmallows.  It will only be awkward.  Same thing goes for "Mike n Ikes".  I totally love them, but can't survive on candy.  Besides, I try to watch my girlish figure.  The candy would just go straight to my thighs.  And no popcorn, either.  I can only take so much of my own addiction...and I know where to find it without any help, thank you very much.  However, just to show I have a sense of humor, I will post a photo of anyone holding a sign that reads "I Love Marshmallows" right here on this very website.  Sounds like fun.

Q:  How come you aren't performing in my town this year?  Mike.  Atlanta, GA.

A:  I need to answer this question for many of you.  I get lots of email from people who live in cities I performed in LAST year, wondering why I'm not scheduled to perform there THIS year.  Usually, people make the assumption that I don't like their city.  Rarely is this true.  Usually, it's because there was no fit with the booking agent for that particular club in that particular city.  Maybe they want me in March but I'm not open until May.  Then May doesn't fit so we put it off until another date...and that date never happens.  Then, it's on to the next year.  Sometimes it just happens that way.  That's business.  I DO plan on getting something going somewhere in Atlanta this year, but it has yet to happen.  Doesn't mean it won't.  Same thing goes for any number of places.  Trust me, I love to work and often want to visit the places I went the year before.  Familiarity is a good thing.

That's it for now.  I tried to answer the questions that I get the most.  You keep the emails coming, I'll keep the answers coming back.  Thanks for writing!

-Ward

My thanks to everyone in Chicago and Aurora for making the shows such a success. It was cool to work at ComedyComedy Live for the first time. I look forward to doing it again next year. My best to House MC Wes Sullivan, the greatest MC in the business, thank you very much!

Also enjoyed myself in Aberdeen and Brookings, South Dakota, as well as Sioux City, Iowa. I've learned my lesson. No more tequila shots onstage. And no more flirting with the club owners' wives! (oooops!) Behave yourselves, Siouxlanders!! You really can freak a comic out.

New CD and DVD being recorded this spring. Hoping for May. Stay tuned for details.

And, no, I was NOT a Spartan in the movie "300". I promise. Stop asking. Heh heh heh.

More Iowa this week, with Minnesota and Fargo on the way! Then (gasp!)a week off!! That's 2 weeks off thus far this year.  Think I'm getting spoiled.

So, the "Video on Trial" episode I did has thus far garnered some good reviews.  I'm pleased with the outcome and looking forward to doing another episode in the future.  It continues to air this week on MuchMusic and probably on satellite in The States.  I'm hoping to a get a little clip for this site, as well as my myspace page.  Keep checking in for details.

Special thanks to Rod and his wife, Marcie, for coming out to see me in Reading, Pennsylvania, this past weekend.  Rod first met me in Washington DC and traveled an hour from his home in PA to catch the gig in Reading.  That was mighty kind of you, sir.  Hope you enjoyed it.  Thanks for the support.

I wish I had a lot more to report but I'm actually taking a break..!  I've been on tour almost non-stop since December, so I'm happy to report that I'll be spending this week at home in Toronto.  Even if I wind up doing some comedy somewhere in town, it's a lot easier than touring.  There's PLENTY of that coming up.

My annual mid-western tour begins March 15th in Chicago (or, to be more specific, Aurora), Illinois.  I'll be touring with Cal Verduchi, whom most Wardiacs know, since I often work with the guy.  Always funny and a true pal, Cal is a welcomed addition to what is tyically a lonesome tour.  I'm looking forward to it.  So, here we come Illinois, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, and Ohio!

Nebraska friends, please note: The show the week of April 9th has been CANCELLED.  It's not my fault, I swear.  It seems that The Icehouse Comedy Club in Omaha has decided to close, so that leaves me without a venue.  I was looking forward to it but, alas, it is not meant to be.  That's the 5th club in 5 years to shut down in Omaha...what's going on in that city?!?!?

So, I'm going to enjoy my first weekend off in 3 months and act like a normal human being for a few days.  Think it's possible?

Always,

W

Check your listings!

I've taped an appearance on the TV show "Video on Trial", which airs on the MuchMusic network in Canada.  American fans can check it out on satellite, of course, since many companies DO carry MuchMusic as part of their line-up.  It might be listed as the "Vibe" channel in some American markets.  Of course, I'm sure it'll appear on youtube.com within a week of the broadcast...but I'm not officially endorsing anything that violates copyright infringement.  (Nice disclaimer, eh?)  Anyway, the show airs on March 4th.  It's a special 80s addition of the show, which features comedians skewering music videos and their artists.  Hope you all enjoy it.

I'm working on other TV appearances all the time, so keep posted.  I'm lucky to have a great fanbase out there that keeps supporting me throughout all of my showbiz endeavors.  Thanks for being there.

On my way back to Virginia and Tennessee this week.  After that, it's off to Pennsylvania.  This will be my first trip to Reading, so I'm looking forward to it.  Of course, I make my annual pre-spring jaunt to the midwest in March.  That'll take me from Illinois to Iowa to South Dakota, to North Dakota, Nebraska and Ohio...all in the span of about six weeks!  Truthfully, that particular tour is always one of my favorites, so I'm looking forward to seeing the growing number of midwestern Wardiacs out there once again.  My buddy Cal Verduchi will be with me for most of the shows, with the hilarious Larry XL filling in here and there.  You guys are going to have a blast, I promise.

Hope to see you all soon.

1/25/2007

So, it's already been a busy year.  In the past 4 weeks, I've already found myself all over Canada, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virigina, Maryland, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Indiana.  You guys really know how to keep me running!

Going back up to Canada for a little TV work.  Of course, I'll share it with all of you when it's done.  I'll post it here, on myspace, and youtube as soon as I get all the copyright clearance, etc.  Feel free to pass it around as much as possible.  I'm always available for over-exposure.  I'm nothing if not a showbiz whore!  Seriously, though, I hope you like the clips when you see them.

On my way back to The University of West Virginia.  Been about a year, but it should be a fun show.  Believe it or not, I'm peforming in Morgantown, WV, TWICE in February!?!?  What's going on with you people?!

Will be back in Canada for Valentine's Day.  Going to be at Absolute Comedy in Ottawa, Ontario.  What are all of YOU expecting this year?  I don't have a big wish for Valentine's Day...but I wouldn't mind it if someone would take care of my MasterCard bill for me.  Maybe a gift certificate to a gas station would be nice, as well.

After that, I'll be back in North Carolina for a few days here and there before heading to Pennsylvania.  After that, it's my annual Mid-Western tour.  That means Illinois, Iowa, South Dakota and North Dakota!!  GET READY FOR IT!

www.wardanderson.net will be updated in 2007, I promise.  There will be new photos, new design, and a message board.  All the stuff that internet dreams were made of!  In the meantime, thanks for making this site 21,410 people stong!  That is, of course, as long as 21,000 of you are still reading...?!?!

In the meantime, enjoy your first quarter.  See you soon!!???

MORE Things to Know About Me.

"24" is my favorite TV show.

I'm currently listening to the new Goo Goo Dolls CD and the new Gin Blossoms CD.  Essentially, I've retreated into the mid-90s, musically.  It wasn't intentional, just what I got for Christmas.

I've never understood the point of having a "Private" profile on myspace.  Isn't the point of the whole site to meet new people?

Michael Flatly (Lord of the Dance) got drunk with me at a Hooters.

I'm likely addicted to popcorn.

My favorite candy is Mike n Ike's.  A close second would be Orange Slices.  Third behind that would be jelly beans, followed by Sour Patch Kids.

I think it's true you simply cannot compare apples to oranges.  But I still eat a lot more apples.

I don't have a TiVo, I have a ReplayTV...and I like it better than TiVo, thank you very much.

The first CD I ever bought was Billy Joel's "Storm Front".  The first DVD I ever bought was "Lethal Weapon 4".  And I still have "Pac Man Fever" on vinyl.

I love my XM Radio.

I exchanged the same shirt at a Gap Outlet three times before finally getting the size right.

I like superhero movies.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Usually, in this exact place, I post my "BEST/WORST" lists of the previous year.  Unfortunately, something went wrong and my posting was eliminated by the slow internet connection I had in my hotel last week.  So, that list has now been destroyed, and I'm not sure I want to re-write it.  If you send me an email, I'll tell you what I thought of movies and TV over the past year.

Instead, I'll wish you all the best this 2007.  I'm working on all sorts of projects and currently back to the editing room with my novel.  I can tell you this: Writing a humor book was a pain in the ass.  Writing a novel is a ridiculous chore that consumes way too much of a person's life.  I now understand why some writers take years off between books.

So, I'd love to hear what your New Year's Resolutions are.  Drop me a line and tell me.

Happy New Year,

Ward

I've gotta get this off my chest.  It's time we spoke about discrimmination...and it's time we stopped encouraging it with Children's Holiday Carols.

"Rudolph, the red-noed reindeer, had a very shiney nose.  And if you ever saw it, you would even say it glows."

First of all, things that shine don't glow.  It's all about light reflection and refraction.  They aren't the same.  So this statement is just stupid.

"All of the other reindeer used to laugh and call him names.  They never let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games"

Sounds like a bunch of pricks to me.  Don't know why anyone would want to hang out with them in the first place.  I have an unusually large head.  Kids used to always make fun of it.  Think I wanted to hang out with the kids who made fun of my head and the fact I couldn't wear a football helmet?  Hell, no.  Think about how much this sucks...Rudolph has a birth defect and these jackasses aren't going to hang out with him because of it?  We're lucky Rudolph didn't go all wackjob on the other reindeer and their stupid games.

"Then, one foggy Christmas Eve, Santa came to say: Rudolph, with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"

Well, were was this fat bastard all those years when Rudolph was being treated like dirt?  Why didn't he intervene at some point?  Why didn't he have a little sympathy for the kid?  I mean, he's only got ONE JOB and he only does it once a year, for crissakes!  How about you stick up for the deformed reindeer, Kringle?

"Then how the reindeer loved him..."

THEN how the reindeer loved him?  THEN?!  Screw those reindeer!  Are you kidding me?  Now that they can use Rudolph's deformity to their own advantage, they're okay with him being a red-nosed freak?  So, the moral of this story is that you shouldn't make fun of people's handicaps or deformities because you might one day be able to use them to your own advantage.  NICE.

"...as they shouted out with glee: Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer, you'll go down in history!"

Yeah, you sure will, Rudolph.  You'll go down in history for being one of the biggest chumps ever known.  You shoulda told those reindeer and their fat-assed boss to go screw.  Or, at the very least, you could've held out for more money.

...and dont' get me started on the racial undertones in "White Christmas".

12/02/06

Happy 37th birthday to my brother, Rob!!!

And, just in case any of you has some kinda smartass remark in mind...YES, he is my OLDER brother...thank you very much.

Back in Canada this week before heading to the southern US States for a couple of weeks.  Many have been asking about it, so I guess I should just admit it.  Yes, I'm thinking of re-locating to Canada.  I'll still tour The States, of course, but I really do like the time I spend up here and have been considering living here for quite some time.  I'm really into this country and it's culture..and in need of a change...so perhaps living here would be just what the doctor ordered..?

I went shopping yesterday and saw the Christmas stuff has already found its way into the malls.  Many people hate that the holiday season seems to start earlier every year but, I have to admit, I'm okay with it.  With all the turmoil, strife, and horrible things in this world, it's nice to have a couple of months of happiness, joy, and tacky lights.  It's alright in my book, no matter what holiday you celebrate (I, personally, celebrate three), as long as you spend November and December not being a jackass.

Thanks again for all the kind emails and letters.  That's exactly what makes my job so worthwhile and so much fun.  Drop me a line and tell me your favorite things about autumn and the upcoming holidays.

Drinks for winter:  Hot Chocolate with Peppermint Schnapps.  Also, Hot Tea with Sambuca.  Keeps you warm and toasted....er..toasty.

Always,

W

10/14/06

I'm on my way to Canada for two more weeks.  Seems I'm spending more and more time there.  I have to admit, I've really taken to it...the entire country and its people.  Great place to be and a great place to perform.  To all my fellow Americans, I whole-heartedly recommend that you check it out and visit sometime.

I've been lucky to visit Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa this year, and I look forward to checking out Calgary, Alberta, Vancouver, and other parts of Canada next year.  Hope to see you there!

After that, I'm on my way to North Carolina and Tennessee for a while, after a quick weekend in Chicago.  Hope to catch some of you at the shows, especially those of you who have already caught me this year in Charlotte and Knoxville.  It's been a very wild, very quick year, 2006.  I can't believe that November is right around the corner.  There's already a great, crisp feeling in the air.  Autumn is always my favorite time of the year, and I'm glad this one is turning out to be so nice.

My current TV addictions (in no particular order): Lost, Nip/Tuck, Kidnapped, Heroes, Studio 50, Prison Break, 24, The Shield, Entourage, Two and a Half Men, Vanished, Law and Order SVU.

Music: I'm currently awaiting the release of "Bat out of Hell 3" by Meat Loaf on October 31st.

Movies:  "The Departed" is great.  Go check it out.

Will continue to add photos as I take more, and as you guys send them.  Hope to see you all soon.  There are now almost 18,000 people on this site!  Thanks for being here!  Have a great autumn!

9/20/06

Are you having a great pre-fall?  I know I am.

I'm heading out for another long tour, this time for about two months!  Starting with NC, SC, MD, then MI, VA, and PA.  After that, I'm headed to Canada for shows in Ottawa (after a brief visit to Toronto) and then back to North Carolina.  Should be a blast, as always!

Rumors...Lemmie take a minute to answer some rumors that some of you have thrown at me via email lately.  NO, I am not joining the cast of Saturday Night Live and have never been in talks to do so.  I've never been asked and I've never auditioned for that gig, so I haven't the slightest clue where that question came from..but more than a few have emailed me asking about it.  To the best of my knowledge, it came from a practical joke played on me by another comedian.  BUT, thanks for thinking me worthy of that program.  It's an honor just to be nominated, heh heh heh.  I HAVE been the opening act for some SNL alums, including Finesse Mitchell and Jon Lovitz, but that's about it.

Rumor #2:  Yes, I have been in talks to produce an hour-long stand-up special for TV.  It's REALLY just in the "talking" stages at this point and nothing firm has been established, so I've avoided mentioning it until now.  If something FINALLY happens in that direction, I will scream it from the highest balcony.  But, until then, it's just talk.  I've learned that, in this biz, "talk" is just that until something is on paper.

Rumor #3:  I'm not secretly married.  I've never been married.  There.  Stop asking.  Yes, I wear rings on several fingers, but none of them are wedding bands.

With that out of the way, I ALWAYS welcome your emails.  So, by all means, keep sending 'em.  I'm thinking of changing the website to allow for visitors to actually post comments, like a "blog" of Wardiacs or something stupid like that.  Who knows?  I know I wanna do something different, so gimmie any suggestions you might have.

See you at the show!!!

08/06/06

The Road is calling!

Yes, dear Wardiacs, I'm off on tour once again!  Over the next few weeks I'll be visiting Alabama, Florida, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.  Can't wait to see parts of the country that are new to me and perform in front of audiences that are new, as well.  Come out and see the show!

My best to Kris Shaw, a great comic I got to work with recently.  Kris and I are talking about doing a college tour next  year.  Keep looking out for it!

Shameless plugging starts now:

"The Ultimate Bachelor's Guide" has managed to eek it's way up the amazon.com sales chart once again.  Get yourself a copy while it's on sale for about 10 bucks or so.  I no longer sell copies at my shows (finding it easier to sell my live CD), so amazon is your best bet to get it.  Bring a copy to a show and I'll gladly sign it, making it worth at least 10 cents more when you re-sell it on eBay or at a garage sale near you!

Many of you know that I've been a bit stressed out lately due to a recent turn of events in my life.  Although it's nothing serious or permanent, it's been a bit of a headache and, quite frankly, a pain in the ass.  Thanks to all of you who've been there to offer support and feedback.  It means a lot to me, and I hope to one day return the favor.  It is because of all of you that I feel lucky to do what I do for a living, work with the people I work with, and peform in front of audiences everywhere.  I don't often say it, but I do consider myself a very lucky man.  Thanks to all of you for that.

See you soon,

Ward

July 18, 2006

So, I've actually gotten a few days off from the road and am now bored to tears.  It's amazing how I long for a few days to do nothing and then, when I have them...I get stir crazy.  So, I'm happy to get back on the road and visit the fun folks in Knoxville, Tennessee, this week.  See you at The Comedy Zone!

If you check out the "NOTES" section on this website, you'll find a link to a clip of me live on stage.  It's from a nice show a couple of weeks ago in Cincinnati, Ohio, at Go Bananas Comedy Club.  The clip comes courtesy of a great website called rooftop comedy.  Check out all their cool clips at www.rooftopcomedy.com for more on me and many other comics.  It's a great site.

Hope you are all having a great summer.  The upcoming weeks find me in Tennesse, Kentucky, Virginia, Maryland and Florida, with August taking me to Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kentucky.  Should be fun!

Keep watching the Speed Network for clips of me live from Charlotte.  The kind people at NASCAR TV put on a great show and filmed myself along with 11 other funny guys, all part of a charity show sponsored by Nascar driver Jamie McMurry.  The Speed Network will be showing clips from the show over the next several months with (hopefully) the entire show airing this fall.

What's new with all of you!?!

-Ward

 Things to Know About Me:

1. "Leave it to Beaver" jokes do not impress me.  They don't annoy me so much as they're just really old and tired.  I've heard them all before and it hasn't been original or amusing since I was 9 years old.  Yes, the father's name on "Leave it to Beaver" was "Ward".  Got it.  You don't have to tell me I was "hard on the Beaver" last night.  Hilarity will not ensue.  Go sing Barry Manilow songs to some chick named "Mandy".

2.  I like Dark Chocolate better than Milk Chocolate, Vanilla better than either Chocolate, and Caramel better than all of the above.

3.  I like McDonald's better than Burger King.  I like Krystal's better than White Castle.  I like Arby's better than Hardee's.  I like Miller Lite better than Bud Lite.

4.  I like Coca-Cola, not Pepsi.  I also collect Coca-Cola memorabilia.

5.  I was into wine before "Sideways" made it cool...and, no, I don't particularly care for Merlot.

6.  I have the preportions of a dwarf.  My torso is very long, my arms and legs are short, and my head is enormous...in case you didn't notice.

7.  My two main hobbies are studying little-known US History and Urban Legends.

8.  I think "Pay Before You Pump" is the most obvious example of having contempt for your customers.  Yet another reason to tell the oil and gas companies to eat ass.

9.  I'll never buy another Dell computer.  The story is too long to tell but, trust me, I'm pissed.

10.  I take pride in my southern heritage, but Southern stereotypes piss me off...especially when southerners embrace the most embarrassing parts of southern culture.

11.   My favorite color is black, but my favorite flavor is Orange.  On that same note, I never wear orange and I drink my coffee black.

12.  I have no interest in lesbian porn.  It does nothing for me.  I'm told that makes me weird.  Truthfully, it's just two more women that don't need me...and that makes me sad.  On that same note, I'm not impressed when two women make-out or kiss each other in clubs and bars in order to attract attention or shock guys.  12 years ago it was shocking and different...now it just comes off as desperate and sad.

13.  I do, however, like it when women flash their breasts at me for no particular reason.

14.  I used to be in the "Medieval Times" show...but wasn't cool enough to be a knight.

15.  I like Spider-Man better than Superman.

16.  I like Broccolli.

17.  It takes me less than 3 minutes to do my hair.  I haven't owned a comb or brush in years.

18.  I often shave against the grain.  Can you deal with that?

19.  My favorite Muppet is Kermit the Frog.  Second place is Rizzo the Rat.  Third is Gonzo the Great.  Fourth place is Pepi the Prawn.

20.  I have never been into sports.  None.  Never.  There, I said it.

21.  The only class I ever failed was my second quarter of Spanish in College.  I failed mostly due to lack of attendance...but still can hardly speak or understand a word of Spanish.

22.  On that same note, I got a "B" in Statistics and don't remember any of IT, either.

23.  I remain close with three of my ex-girlfriends and  introduced them to one another.  They became great friends who now hang out all the time without me.  Guess it's kinda like being in a support group.

24.  I've never watched a single episode of "Survivor" and I'm damned proud of it.  I've also never watched "American Idol" (but like most of the winners), "Last Comic Standing" (believe it or not), "Big Brother" and most other reality shows.  But I have to admit I can't turn away from "The Surreal Life" whenever I see that it's on.

25.  My favorite Beatle was Paul, favorite Monkee was Mickey, favorite Beach Boy was Brian.  I like Peter Cetera AND Jason Schef.  I like David Lee Roth AND Sammy Hagar.  I side with Dennis DeYoung over Styx, but side with Journey over Steve Perry.  And think the new singer for INXS is pretty damned good.

26.  I sweat really easily and have an overactive PH Balance.  There, I said it.

27.  People tell me I look like Anthony Michael Hall.

28.  Every once in a while, I get a royalty check for $2.47.

29.  Secretly, I long to kick open a door and scream "Freeze!  I'm Jack Bauer!"

30.  I wish I could dance like the kids in "Footloose".

6/07/06

Welcome to summer!

I have to send out my best to the following people:

Gary Valentine...Great guy and I had a blast working with you.  Gary is one of the stars of the CBS sitcom "King of Queens".  Check him out.  Hilarious.  I could only hope to be as successful one day..soon..?!

David L...You rock.  Thanks for a fun race week.  Same goes to Averell Carter and Bill Russ.

Ralph Tetta...Always a gentleman.  Watch out for this funny guy.

Jeff Kus...You are a true pal.  Everyone should be looking out for Kus.  I promise you, he's about to pop big.

Thanks to everyone at The Comix Cafe in Buffalo.  I always love working that room.  I'll see you all next MARCH.  Keep an eye on the Tour Dates as 2007 gets booked.  That's a great club.  Stopping through Buffalo?  GO TO THE COMIX CAFE!

In the meantime, thanks to all of you that actually managed to see me on TV recently.  Thanks for the calls and emails.  Yes, that was me on the Speed Network, telling jokes in between Nascar races.  I filmed a comedy pilot recently (along with 10 other hilarious comics) in Charlotte, NC.  Clips of that show are popping up all over The Speed Network.  I'll let EVERYONE know when the full special is going to air.  In the meantime, I have now officially fulfilled my New Year's Resolution to get on TV in 2006....So, everything else is just gravy.

ARE YOU READY FOR A WARDIAC SUMMER?!?!?!

05/03/06

FAQ with Ward Anderson

Q: Is "Ward your real first name?"

A: Indeed it is.  It was my mother's maiden name.

Q: You've lived in Atlanta, NYC, and Washington DC...where's your favorite place to live?

A:  Atlanta will always have the softest spot in my heart, since it's my hometown.  However, it's not the best place in regards to my career and, until it is, I'm living elsewhere.  I know DC doesn't seem much better but it's very convenient in regards to the travel I do.  Plus, as a fan of American History, I get to be in one of the most historic cities on Earth.  Yeah, I loved NYC, but mostly on a personal level.  On a career level, I liked it only so much.  The comedy scene isn't quite the same as it is on the road and can be a hassle.

Q:  How much do you travel a year?

A:  About 48 weeks per year.  Now, some of the "travel" is near my home, and often on weekends, so I'm not always away from home.  There are those tours, however, when I'm gone for 4 to 6 weeks at a time.  That only makes coming back home more fun.

Q:  Favorite places to visit?

A:  All of them.  South in spring.  North in Fall.  Midwest in Summer.  Never works out that way, but that's how I'd take it if I could.

Q: When can I see you on TV?

A:  The people who handle that stuff for me (you know, the annoying part of show biz) currently have three different things on the table.  I can't discuss them until they happen or I know more.  But, yes, I should be doing more TV over the next year--knock wood--especially with a new book in the can.

Q:  Any hobbies?

A:  Sure.  I play the piano, I write (whatever I can...not just my books), I studey American History, and I study Urban Legends.  Also, I try to work-out in a gym 4 days a week.

(MORE TO COME)

04/14/06

Happy Spring to you all!!

I'm happy to be home at the moment, after 6 straight weeks out on the road.  I'd like to say that time flies when you're having fun but, truth is, when you're on the road...time can drag, no matter how much fun you're having.  It's nice to be back home for a couple of weeks before doing it all over again.

Look out Tennessee, Florida, and North Carolina!  See you in May!

I know I keep saying that this website is about to be updated...but, I promise, it's true!  I just have to get my webmaster to start uploading stuff and changing things around.

All kinds of new photos in the "Photos" section.  Check 'em out!  Threw in a couple from The Bahamas and Montreal.  If you look, you can actually see my tan fade in each photo as I go from the Islands to Canada.  Sigh.

Thanks to all 12,000 plus of you that keep me going, having fun on the road and working in this crazy business.  You're what makes it all worth it.  An "Official" fan club is coming soon.

Keep an eye on summer,

Ward

Where to begin?

I had an amazing time in Montreal, Canada!  To everyone at the Comedy Nest, I say hello and thanks for everything!  Special shout-out to Charles Seagram, the best tour-guide a comedian ever had.  Charles is a helluva a guy and a great friend to have in Montreal...or anywhere else, for that matter.  I'll see you all in December!  www.thecomedynest.com

To all my Canadian Wardiacs, I'm happy to announce I'll also be making my way to Ottawa, Ontario this October.  Hope to see you there! www.absolutecomedy.com

To my American friends, if you get the chance, take a trip up to the Great White North.  You won't be disappointed!  I loved Montreal and am sure you will, too.  Check it out!

To everyone in Detroit, Michigan...thanks for a great week at Joey's Comedy Club!  Special thanks to Scott Loftis, my host and MC for the week I was there.  Keep your eye out for Scott...The guy is clever, funny, and a marketing genius.  He's getting ready to take the world by storm, I tells ya!

Hello to all the Wardiacs in Traverse City, Michigan.  Beautiful town...you'd be able to see it if you'd DRINK A LITTLE LESS!!!  Happy Saint Pats!

Iowa City and Cedar Falls, Iowa...Two great towns to visit in the middle of the country!  For those of you who have asked about the revealing photo of XXX star Rebecca Cummings (in the "Photos" section of this site), I am happy to announce that there will soon be a NEW photo taken just last week!  My best to all my friends in Iowa for treating me so well.  GE Haley, I wish you the best.  GE is a great comedian/former model who has NO problem with the laughs or the ladies!

Currently, I'm North Dakota trying to keep warm.  Looks like most of the year is booked up, so I have a pretty good idea where I'll be from one week to the next.  Drop me a line and let me know when I'm coming to YOUR town...

Also, I finally have my own LIVE CD.  "Ward Anderson: Live from the Bahamas" is now available.  Email me if you want a signed copy of your own.  I'll have it online soon since wardanderson.net is about to be completely REVAMPED!!!  ARE YOU READY?!!?

Always,

Ward

As I am writing this, I am sitting in the Bahamas, at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island.  Never been?  Make certain you come check it out someday.  But bring lots of cash.  It's not a cheap place to visit!  DAMN!

Have met all kinds of great people from all over the world.  I'm excited to report that, while I was here, I was lucky enough to hang out with Canadian Rockers Idle Sons.  Their debut album drops in March on EMI records.  Check out these guys at www.idlesons.com for more info.  You're going to hear a lot about them in the year to come.  They came to one of my shows, too, which was a blast.  Hopefully, we'll do it again soon, guys.

My best to Dave Matthews, who was performing the "Dave Matthews and Friends" Tour at the Atlantis this past week.  Had a chance to hang out a bit and just BS about life on the east coast.  Really a great guy.  Guess millions of fans can't be wrong, eh?

While in the Bahamas, I was also lucky to be able to sit in on the filming of the Canadian Poker Wolrd Tour Tournament.  Keep an eye out on Global TV and Spike TV to see clips of yours truly interacting with some players and the hosts of the show, Brad and Natasha.  Great, talented people from Toronto...a city that everyone's just gotta love.  I had a blast fooling around with you guys.  Thanks for the fun!

Here's my personal shout out to Demitri!  You are definitely THE man.  You have a keen eye for all things showbiz, and are definitely a wiz kid with the camera.  I wish you all the best.

So, thanks to all for the emails and nice comments.  I'm really excited about where 2006 is taking me, so I hope you'll all continue to drop in here on this website and tell me what you think.  This site is now 10,000 hits strong.  Thanks for everything, Wardiacs!  The best is still yet to come!  Great things ahead!

01/05/06

2006 is here!!!!

Happy New Year, Wardiacs!  The wardsite here on the beautiful internet is now almost 10,000 people strong!  WOO HOO!  Thanks to all of you for a wonderful 2005...and I hope to see you in 2006.

Had a great New Year with Averell Carter and Jarrod Harris in South Charleston, West Virginia.  Be on the lookout for both of those guys in the upcoming years.  Very funny men, indeed!

I am excited about the year to come.  As you may have seen, the "Tour Dates" are filling up nicely.  I'm also FINALLY putting the finishing touches on my live DVD.  I've been promising a CD for quite some time...but I think a DVD is really the way to go.  My act is very visual, so I think the Wardiacs deserve a little visual piece of merchandise.

Hope you all have great plans for the New Year.  Call your local comedy club and DEMAND they bring me back!  Drop me a line and tell me your resolutions!

Always,

Ward

Man...2005 has flown by like a mutha, hasn't it?

With only a couple of weeks left in the  year, let me take this time to wish everyone a Happy Holiday season, no matter what you celebrate this year.  I'm very lucky to have had all of the opportunities this year that have come my way, and to have met so many wonderful people while on the road.

Thanks to all of you Wardiacs for keeping me busy this year and helping to keep me EVEN BUSIER in 2006.  I look forward to next year and seeing all over you (and seeing new people) all over again!

This Thanksgiving, I was lucky to see many old faces from years gone by.  I performed at The Funny Farm in Roswell, Georgia, and had a blast.  My best to Finnesse Mitchell from Saturday Night Live, and to Marshall Chiles, the head honcho at The Funny Farm.  It's a great club, and I had a blast.

Also, I'm sending out this special hello to my friend Wayne Turner from my old high school.  Having not seen Wayne in well over a decade, I was thrilled when he and his wife made it to the show.  Wayne just got back safe and sound from Iraq, where he was flying Apache Helicopters for the good ol' US of A.  Thanks for your service, Wayne...and welcome home!

Here's hoping that 2006 brings peace and joy to all of you.

Always,

Ward

Do you smell that?  Do you smell turkey?  I know I do.

Yes, indeedy, Thanksgiving is around the corner!  I'm excited to announce that I'll be back in Atlanta that weekend, visiting family and enjoying spending time in my hometown.  As it turns out, I'm also performing that weekend at The Funny Farm in Roswell, Georgia.  You got that right...lil' Ward is coming home.

I'll be in Roswell featuring for Finnesse Mitchell, from Saturday Night Live, who is also an Atlanta native.   Sounds like it's gonna be a helluva show.  Would be great to see you guys on November 25th and 26th, two shows both nights.  I know there are plenty of Atlanta Wardiacs who have yet to see me live, so I'm looking forward to it.  Hope to see you all there.  Please check it out.

Currently, I'm sitting in my hotel room (of course) in Lansing, Michigan, getting ready for tonight's show.  I'm at Connxtions all week long, looking forward to a nice run.  My father is from here, went to Michigan State, so this gets to be a very reunion-esque November for me, eh?

www.myspace.com/wardanderson is up and running...check it out!

If I don't hear from any of you fine people from all over the country, check out my Tour Dates and see when I'm coming your way in 2006.  In the meantime, have a great holiday season.  It's my favorite time of year, and I hope you dig it, as well.

So, I was in The Discovery Channel Store at the mall the other day...trying to find a massager that I could buy without the sales clerk knowing it was just my fancy way of finding a new, exciting, electric way to masturbate...when something caught my eye.  (Besides the massager, of course.)

There, at the cash register, was a book that was nothing but a collection of "Lost Pet" posters made by children all over the country.  There were "Lost Dog" and "Lost Kitty" posters, mostly drawn in crayon, with words like "I miss Fluffy" and so on.  It was, by far, the most depressing book I've ever seen.  I wanted to sit down on the floor and cry right there next to the "Walking with Dinosaurs" DVDs.

Who in fucking hell thought that this would be a good idea?  Who is the sadistic bastard who greenlit this project?  How sick and twisted do you have to be?

Needless to say, I loved it.  So, I came up with some kids' book ideas of my own.  Tell me what you think:

"There is no Santa" (A coffee table book with pictures of 4 year-olds learning the truth)

"I Shot the Easter Bunny" (Follow up to the "Santa" book)

"Cancer is Forever"

"Really Depressing Tombstones".

"All Grandparents Die."

"Every Time You Pee, an Angel Loses it's Wings".

"You're Bleeding Where?...A Short Book for Little Girls Everywhere"

"Your Parent's Divorce Was Your Fault"

"You Were An Accident"

"You Should Have Been A Girl...and Other Stories for Awkward Boys".

Just some ideas I'm working with.  Let me know which ideas you think are the best suited to become bestsellers.  See you at the booksigning!

ps--check out "NOTES" this week!

10/14/2005

Well, I'm finally all set up on myspace.com!  For all of you who have been asking me to join...well...I finally did.  Check out the spot at www.myspace.com/wardanderson

Add yourselves as friends on my myspace.com account, and we'll chat more.  I'll also update tour dates on THAT site, as well as this one.

The Tour Dates for 2006 are filling up!  I'm excited, so keep checking the days and seeing when I'll be coming to YOUR neck of the woods next year!

Right now, I'm sitting in my hotel room in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Great city!  If you're between 25 and 35, it's a great place to be!  Last week I was in Columbia, South Carolina...also a great town full of WAAAAAAY too many drinkers.  Eeeesh.  Don't you people have jobs to go to on Monday morning?!?!

More to come...

On September 28th, I will be performing at Wiseacres Comedy Club in Tyson's Corner, Virginia.  The show is a benefit for Hurricane Relief, and there will be 12 comics on the bill that night.  Come out and support a great night of comedy for a great cause.  The show is part of a nation-wide benefit being performed at Comedy Clubs all over the country on that same night.  Would be great to see you all there but, at the very least, try to find the benefit show in YOUR area.  For more information on the Wiseacres show that I'll be a part of, please go to www.wiseacrescomedyclub.com and check it out.  Keep listening for more info on XM Radio, as well.

The recent hurricane has certainly made me stop and think about my life, my friends, my family.  Special thanks to all of you for making the past few years so great.  I wish you all the best and hope that Autumn finds you all safe and well.

I can't tell you how much it means to me to hear from people I haven't heard from in years.  People from way back when, even from high school, keep popping up and dropping me emails.  Thank you so much for finding me and wishing me well.  It really means more to me than I could ever tell you.

So, it's been one helluva summer, hasn't it?

I had a blast in Nags Head, North Carolina for the past couple of weeks.  Allow me to send out my best to the following comedians:

Doc Barham, David Beck, Glenn Jensen, Davin, Chadeo, David Goldstein, and Paul "Food" Lyons.

My alternator on my beloved car went out (twice, kinda) and I was stranded for a couple of days whilst waiting for the part.  Of course there are worse places to be stuck than the beach!  Special thanks to David Beck for acting as my personal mechanic/advisor whenever I needed the help, to Doc Barham for the writing tips, and to Glenn Jensen for the career advice.

...and don't you think that "Gabbin' with Davin" would be a great name for a talk show?

As you can see, I'm already booking 2006.  I will be returning to the same places that I was at in 2005, as well as some new towns and clubs.  This year, I've kept my touring at about 40 weeks or so, but next year I kick it up to possibly 50!  Perhaps I'll spoil myself and take off 4 weeks...who knows?  What time of year do YOU want to see my show?

Hey, while you're at this site, drop me an email sometime and say hello.  I'd love to hear from more of you.

Until next time,

Ward

Fun, Fun, Fun - 07/04/05

Well, as much as I often miss my hometown of Atlanta, summer is definitely a time when I am happy to be away from the overbearing humidity.  Can't say that DC is too much gentler this time of year...but still not as bad as Hotlanta.

Had a blast headlining Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle last week, the third week in June.  Too bad the Pistons didn't win the championship but, at the very least, the folks of Detroit seemed optimistic about next year.  Check out the neat article writen about me in The Detroit News by local columnist Neal Rubin.  You can see it in the "Notes" section on this website.  Also, check out the two other comedians I worked with when you get a chance.  Dennis Sheehee and Scott Dunn, both hilarious guys, are out on tour RIGHT NOW!  Scott has a very funny novel, "Through the Turn", that you can get online or in stores.  (You have, of course, already gotten your copy of MY book, right?)

Since it is July 4th, I thought I would say Happy Birthday America!  Also, Happy Birthday to my Dad, who celebrates his XXXth birthday (heh heh) on the 4th, as well.  A lot of people know that my hobby is studying US History and Urban Legends so, please, this summer, in honor of America's birthday and all of those who have fallen in Her name, please take some time to read a little bit about the history of this great country of ours, whether it be a book, magazines, or online.  There's so much they never teach us in school...You'll be surprised.

Until next time,

Ward

Keep an eye on summer... - 06/14/05

Hey, gang!  Greetings to all Wardiacs, old and new!  Allow me to take a few minutes to send out my thanks to everyone at the great clubs I've worked at over the past several weeks.  Ben Creed and everyone at the Whiskey River Comedy Club in Macon, Georgia, treated me great.  Ben is hilarious, and I hope to run into him again soon.  Check out Tom Long's website: www.whiskeyriver.tv/monkey to see some great photos of a very popular simian!

It was a great run in Winterhaven, Daleville, Albany, and Tupelo...If you EVER get the chance to go to Tupelo, Mississippi, make sure you do so.  Such a beautiful place, and the people at Papa's Place (Vanelli's Restaurant) were so nice to me.  My thanks to Doug (Great host!) and the owner, Vos, for such a nice time.  There will be pics of my time in Vanelli's on the website...Check out the "photos" section.  Please keep in mind that the camera adds 10 pounds...everwhere except where I wish it would show.  And, yes, my head really is that big, with or without the extra pounds.

Still love going to The Comedy Zone in Greensboro, North Carolina, and Itz Cafe in Fayetteville.  Thanks for making the shows great on Memorial Day weekend.  My best to comedian Bruce Goodman...as funny as he is short!

I love being down south.  The audiences are great and the women are absolutely gorgeous!  I'm very lucky to be spending most of the summer of '05 in the southern states.  Can't wait to enjoy the sun and fun.

Hey, my book, "The Ultimate Bachelor's Guide", is offically going to a second printing this year!  Thanks to all of you who made it a hit enough to have more of the suckers being made.  There are still some "first editions" available, so check out www.amazon.com or www.bn.com for more info.  Thanks again, everyone.  YES, there WILL be a novel coming out next year!  Hope you like all things dark and creepy...

Tell me what YOU are up to this summer:  ward@wardanderson.net

Always,

Ward

Summer Approaches - 05/05/05

My thanks to everyone in Buffalo, New York and Rochester, New York for two weeks of great shows.  Had a blast working with both Winn Reichert and Artie Fletcher.  Winn can be seen in the video for Sarah Evans country hit "Suds in the bucket", while Artie will be returning this fall for another season of "Law and Order: Criminal Intent".  Best of luck to you both!

Check out Comedysportz in Buffalo on Sunday nights!  It is hilarious!

Will be traveling back home to Georgia for a string of shows in Macon, Georgia.  Then it's off to Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi.  Hope to get back to my hometown, Atlanta, for shows this year.  We shall see.

Somehow, thanks to all of you, my book ("The Ultimate Bachelor's Guide") has jumped back up the sales chart on both Amazon and Barnes & Noble.  Thanks for taking care of me, folks!  Here I was, happy with its run and ready to move on, but you kind Wardiacs have given it a second life.  You have my appreciation.  I'm almost finished with book number two (my first novel) which should drop in 2006.  Knock wood.

The Entertainment Industry...

"I'd like to spend a day or two / but I can't stay that long / I've got to meet expenses / got to stay in line / Got to get those fees to the agencies / I'd love to stay but there's bills to pay / so I just don't have the time."  --Billy Joel

"Sometimes I think that something is gone here/ something is wrong here / I don't belong here. / Sometimes I feel like a stranger in town / That I've lost what I've found / It'll all turn around."  --Uncle Kracker

3am

It's 4am eastern time.

I'm a little more than a third of the way though writing my next book (and first novel) and have to put it down for a little while.  Every once in a while, you need a break.  I see more and more people are dropping in on the website, so please continue to say hi along the way and tell me what you think.  It means the world to me..

My best,

W

2005 Rolls on!

Let me ask you this, Wardiacs.....Have you checked out Collin Moulton?  This guy is one of my favorite comics to work with, hands down.  If you haven't seen his act, at least check out his website at www.collinmoulton.com all over that wacky net.  It's been a  blst working with him and I look forward to doing more of it.  Together, we conquered North Dakota and Minnesota!  Keep an eye out, you crazy, frozen midwesterners!

Spring 2005!

Well, I'm currently on tour in the midwest, sitting in my hotel room in Sioux City, Iowa.  So far, it's been a great tour full of great shows (knock on wood) and really cool people.

Jr's Last Laugh in Erie, PA is such a great club.  My thanks to Debbie Richardson and everyone else at the club.  Be sure to check out the comedy duo Full Impact, featuring Tim Kaminski and Steve Kramer.  Hilarious guys, and really cool to work with.

To everyone in Iowa City, Iowa...and Rochester, MN...and Cedar Falls, IA...my best to you all.  A special shout-out to Rebecca and Myke, the two coolest people in Cedar Falls.  I will have a picture of Rebecca and I on the website in the next week or so.

My thanks to comedian Bob Featherer.  It's nice to work with comedians like this guy, so check out his website and see what he's all about.  www.funnybob.com is where you find him.  See you in 2 weeks, Bob!

As always, if you are new to the website, please drop me an email and let me know you've been here!  I answer the emails myself, so please say hi!

My best,

Ward

Here comes 2005!

Happy New Year to all!  Is it just me, or did 2004 fly by like a mofo?

Really excited about this year.  Already have most of my tour dates confirmed for 2005, although I will still fill in another 10 to 12 or so weeks of shows.  Just last week, in Utica, New York, I taped my first live CD.  Exciting news, considering that people keep asking me to make one...seems nobody likes to READ anymore.  The CD will be along within the next month or two, right after it's produced, engineered, and all of the screams of "YOU SUCK!" are edited out.

Speakig of sucking, that new tv series, "Committed" really blows.  Why the hell did NBC greenlight this steaming pile while my praised sitcom script is lavishing in purgatory?  That's entertainment for you.  For those of you always asking me why I don't have my show on TV, just tune the dial and watch the latest suckfest that the Hollywood suits felt that you deserved.  My next pilot script will be called "Big Boobs, Sensitive Guys, and a Cat That Talks", and will be certain to appeal to everyone.  TGI-Friday, here I come!!

Spending much of early 2005 out in the midwest.  Please have pity on me and try not to ridicule me too much for shivering and shaking out in the cold.

2004 on the way out...2005 on the way in!

Exciting stuff is going on, isn't it?

Been very busy booking dates for 2005.  As you can see in the "Tour Dates" section, I'm keeping busy in the upcoming year!  Still have many dates to add and many clubs to visit.  Also doing many unlisted college shows, as well.  As always, college students and college show bookers can get in touch regarding bookings by emailing my agent at ward@wardanderson.net, and putting "Bookings" in the subject line.

Yes, I'm always writing.  The new book is coming along, albeit slower than the last one.  I've finished a sitcom script that was a quarter-finalist in the BravoTV network's "Situation:comedy" reality show (produced by Project Greenlight) and am doing my best to get it shopped around to networks and bigwigs everywhere.  Keep an eye on this website for more info.

My best to everyone in the upcoming holiday and the New Year that is soon to follow.  2004 has been such a blast, I can only imagine how exciting 2005 will be.  I vow to make my way to television this upcoming year, so keep watching to find out what happens next.  As always, I want to thank all of you for your continuing support and everything you've done to make me a hit at clubs and colleges all over this country.

My best,

W

Spring 2004

Hey, everyone!

Been keeping busy, so I haven't updated the site as much as I should have.  Being on the road has a way of keeping me from my website responsibilities.  Promise to keep it up better in the upcoming months.  Also, the email address was down for quite some time.  If I never responded to emails from you, I apologize.  It's because I never got them.  The email is working fine now, however, so please drop me a line anytime.

My best to Caroline Rhea, with whom I had the pleasure to work with this past February.  What a great lady to know and share the stage with.  If you ever get the chance to see her live, do yourself a favor and check it out.  She's got a pilot in the works, so keep an eye out for her upcoming sitcom.

This site will soon have a video of one of my shows.  Stay tuned!  Also, new photos are on the way this month!

My book, The Ultimate Bachelor's Guide, has continued to sell well at bookstores and, especially, online.  Thanks to all of you for making it a bestseller over the past year, especially during the holidays.  It's going into another printing this year, with a new cover, new interior font, and possibly a new forward.  At the moment, I'm at work on my next book, a novel that is NOT a humorous book of any sort.  In fact, it might just be a bit of a murder mystery type of tome...After that, I'm working on a novel about--what else?--A comedian and life on the road.  Don't worry, I'm not actually trying to convince anyone I have a clue.

Also, since I'm a shameless, capitalist, marketing machine, I will have a Tour T-shirt available this spring.  It was either that or a Ward Anderson beanie baby...

With me taking time off the road to do more acting jobs in NYC, I am thrilled when I do get the chance to travel and see the country.  Drop me an email and lemmie know how things are in your neck of the woods.  Hope to see you all sometime this year.  It never hurts to call your local club and request my return.

Thanks for making it a great 2004 so far.  I have all of you to thank for it!  My best in the months to come!

Always,

Ward

January 2004

Hi there...Happy New Year to all of you!  I must say that 2003 was a great year, so I can only hope that 2004 will be even better!  I owe it all to each and every one of you.  Thanks to you, I've become one of the most requested acts all along the east coast!  All I can do is hope for the same from you folks in the midwest, where I'll be in the beginning of 2004 and beyond!

Best of 2003: The Shield, 24, Friends, and--so far--the last seaon of Frasier...also The Lord of The Rings: Return of the King, Seabiscuit, and (screw you if you don't agree) The Hulk, Kill Bill, and School of Rock

Worst of 2003: Coupling.  That show just plain sucked.  Shame on the networks for making this show instead of something just as shitty and starring ME.  Also, Timeline sucked.  What else?  Plenty!

Most overrated of 2003:  Cold Mountain.  Saw it.  Loved it...until the last 20 minutes.  The last 20 minutes sucked so bad, I won't recommend the flick.  Same thing goes for The Last Sammuri.  It was good, but Mystic River was really overrated.  Nice movie, but people are apparently desperate for movies to rave about..because this wan't it.  Pretty predictable, if you ask me.

Want to say this:  If you don't believe that 60% of the country is obese, try visiting the mid-west.  Sorry, folks...I love visiting you people in the middle of the country...but...yeah, you might want to do something, there.  It's not a "new" thing.  It's sad whent the "hot" girl in town is also the "chunky" girl.

(That was mean, right?)

Thanks to all of you who keep emailing the networks, demanding that they pay attention to yours truly.  I am happy to announce that, because of you, I've had some network folks sniffing around my shows lately.  I promise to keep things going the same as usual, even if I get my own hit sitcom..Hell, heve if I get a flop sitcom!

Drop me a line, folks...Let me know what's new and what you're up to.  I'm looking forward to the upcoming year.  I'll be coming your way..and if not, ask your local club or college to make it so!

November/December 2003

Well, 2003 is very quickly on its way out with 2004 fast approaching.  It's been a great year, and I thank all of you for making it so much fun.  I've toured a lot, seen success with my book, taken a part in a great show, and met many wonderful people this year.  I can only imagine that 2004 will be even better.

Keep checking out the website for tour information.  I'm going to be (hopefully) adding dates to my comedy tour, as well as doing (hopefully) some more acting work in the New Year.  For those of you who haven't yet checked it out, come see the show at Medieval Times in Lyndhurst, New Jersey.  It's all the fun of a Broadway show with dinner thrown in at no extra charge.

I appreciate all the email I've been getting from the college students who have caught my act at various comedy clubs.  If you want to have me appear at your college, email me with information.  Just click on "Contact".

Check out the "Notes" section for my humble lists of the Best and Worst that 2003 had to offer.

Lastly, Happy Holidays to you all, no matter what you believe in or celebrate...and may the New Year bring you plenty of happiness and lots of laughter.

By best to you all!

October 2003

Well, Autumn is here and 2003 is quickly coming to a close.  I've started booking 2004 already, so check out the dates and upcoming shows.  Spent last week in Lacrosse, Wisconsin and Dubuque, Iowa.  Finished up the week in Madison, Wisconsin.  Gotta say, Madison is definitely one of the coolest towns I've ever been to.  Great club "The Comedy Club on State Street".  I can't wait to return next year.  Mike Green was my co-comic for the week.  Great working with you.  Check Mike out on Premium Blend this season.  Special thanks to Kristi for allowing me to ramble on about her rack.  Extra special thanks to Amber for literally giving me the shirt off her back.  I said "Hey, nice shirt..." and she actually gave me the thing!  I'll include a photo of me wearing it on the "Photos" page, as soon as I get around to posing.

Please email me and let me know what kinda merchandise you guys think I should be selling on this site and at my shows.  I have my book, of course, (Soon to be available as an AUDIO-book!) but many people have asked for t-shirts and stickers.  Here's something: If I were to have shirts or stickers, what would my catchy slogan be?  Right now, "Beware the Swab" is in the running.  Let me know!  Drop me an email, folks, and tell me what's what.

September 2003

Wrapped up the month with a great string of shows in Broadalbin, New York, at the Funny Farm.  I've gotta tell you, it's always a blast being at that club.  All my best to Peter Fields and the staff at the Funny Farm.  Great people.  They really treat the comcs well.  I'll be back there sometime in the spring of 2004, so keep an eye on this site for details.

Also, all my best to Andy Hendrickson, the headliner from the weekend.  This guy is hilarious.  Check out his website at www.andyhendrickson.com.  I'm looking forward to seeing where the next year takes us both.  It was great working with him this past weekend.  I'm sure that everyone who saw the show will agree it was very cool.  Best regards to Al Fish, as well, and Aaron (The Ladies' Man) Ward.

Besides that, I'm currently at work on Book #2 and still out promoting Book #1.  Those of you living in the tri-state area, keep an eye out for me in the upcoming months.  I'm doing booksignings in Jersey, as well as some local shows.  Drop me a line sometime and I'll explain more.  Thanks again to all of you who have helped my book become a bestseller on the net.  I can't tell you how grateful I am.

Of course, I'm still performing in the ongoing production over at Medieval Times in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, just outside NYC.  If you've never visited the dinner/tournament, you really should check out the show.  Stunts, fights, horses, wizards...what more could you want with dinner?

August 2003

Keeping busy, as always! The book came out at the end of June and, within two months, was certified a humor bestseller! Thanks to all of you for making it such a success. Book signings coming up in Jersey this September and October. Keep an eye out for all the news. Those of you who haven't yet, please check out my sales rank and rating on www.amazon.com.

Ended the month at Doane College in Crete, Nebraska. A great place with great people! Even the cops are nice to you when they pull you over for a broken headlight! Thanks to all at Doane College for a great time, especially Wilma, Amy, and Nathan. You guys rock!
Those of you in the tri-state area, come check me out as Lord Chancellor in the show at Medieval Times, which is where I am when not on the road. See you this fall!

July 2003
“The Book” as all of my friends and I call it these days, comes out the first week of the month. That kicks off a crazy, hectic schedule for me for the rest of 2003. Check out the info on the book right here on the website or at www.amazon.com. In fact, write a review once you’ve nabbed yourself a copy. It’ll make me feel all warm n’ fuzzy inside. Anyone else on the East Coast notice that the cold weather has been replaced by lots of rain? Hey, Seattle, we didn’t ask for your climate. Take it back, will you?
June 2003
Taking a week or two off, but will be local at Rascal’s in New Jersey and the New York Comedy Club in NYC. Keep checking with the site for details and dates. Also, the book is just around the corner. Anyone else on the East Cost notice that it feels like February a lot these days? Being from Georgia, I can’t say that I’m disappointed to be without the humidity…but it sure feels weird to be wearing a leather jacket while grilling hot dogs.
May 2003
Just finished up three months of college shows. Had a blast visiting everyone from Maine to Minnesota and back again! See many of you next year! Don’t party too hard this summer.
