2010 is in full swing! PDF Print

Alrighty, folks.

Just a quick note here to say thanks to everyone for the nice emails and updates I've been receiving.  It's great to know that so many of you keep in touch and keep checking my website for updates and information.  Of course, you can always join me here: www.facebook.com/wardanderson as well, since I'm always on facebook, screwing around and keeping the PR Machine rolling.

This Saturday (tomorrow) night, I'll be taping my first-ever TV special in Toronto at Absolute Comedy in midtown.  Very exciting news, indeed!  It's something new we're trying, doing the taping in a comedy club instead of a theatre.  I like the idea of shooting the special with an intimate crowd, as opposed to on a stage 20 feet away from the people.  There is an excitement to a club crowd that you just don't see when you watch a TV special done in on a theatre stage.  I like the idea of capturing the thrill of being two feet away from the audience at all times.

So, if you're in the Toronto area, please come watch the show.  Otherwise, I'll be sure to tell everyone when and where to tune in come this fall, when the show will possibly air.  Fingers crossed that all goes well.

Besides that, please check out the Tour Dates for upcoming show info.  2010 is shaping up to be a busy year (knock on wood), so there's plenty of opportunity to come check out yours truly live in a club near you.  I hope, of course, to see you all there.

Enjoy your late winter!

Happy 2010! PDF Print
Tuesday, 05 January 2010 00:18

Well, Happy New Year everyone.  I hope you all had a great holiday season and an even better New Year's.  I, for one, had a blast entertaining all the great people in Lansing, Michigan, at Connxtions Comedy Club.  Always a blast in that city, and this time was no exception.  You can see a quick highlight of the night right over at www.youtube.com/wardrick

As usual, I'm hitting the road in 2010 to do my thing.  But I'm also busy working on other projects, as well.  I'm directing now, working both on some commercials and music videos.  And, of course, I'm finally wrapping up work on a couple of new books.  I have been saying forever that a new book was on the way...but it turns out that there have been two.  With a third to follow shortly thereafter.  Yeah, I've been a bit busy.  Hopefully, if all goes well, there will be some sort of Ward Anderson-penned tome on shelves in 2010.  Fingers crossed that all goes well.

Heading to Colorado next week, which is a new location for yours truly.  I am, of course excited about it.  2010 will find me visiting all kinds of new places, so please keep in touch and keep track of all my tour dates.  I'm looking forward to all this year has to offer.  And, as always, I'm thankful to all of you who keep track of my tour, send me great email, and make me feel lucky to work in this crazy biz of mine, trying to make people (like you) chuckle a bit.

See you soon.  Drop me a line and tell me what your resolutions for 2010 are!

Happy Holidays, everyone!

I've been awful about updating m website lately, and for that I apologize.  But, in a way, that's good news.  It means I've been keeping busy.  And I have.

Two books finished and (hopefully) on the way in the upcoming year, more TV appearances, more tour dates, and more Ward in general.  I'm thrilled that 2009 has been such a creative year for me and am looking forward to 2010.

I'll be writing more blog stuff in 2010, as well as posting more videos.  I'm getting out of my technology-deprived lifestyle and starting to try new things.  Keep in touch and see if I have any success with it.

I'll be at Connxtions Comedy Club in Lansing, Michigan, for New Year's Eve.  Tickets are on sale now, so get in touch with the folks at Connxtions if you live somewhere in Michigan.  Would be great to see you at the show.

So...what are YOUR big holiday plans?

Hey, gang.

I recently appeared on "The Surf" on BiteTV.

Here's a clip of my appearance:

I'm the guy not wearing a tie!

Here's the clip from "Breakfast Television" in Toronto.

I'm the guy wearing the hat!

More TV stuff coming up soon.  Thanks for making my little humour book such a big hit, everyone!  I can only hope that the new book (when it eventually is published) gets an even better response.

Stay tuned for details!

Rolling Along... PDF Print
Monday, 31 August 2009 12:43

As the summer fades away, I'm surprised at how things have changed lately in regards to my touring.  Summer used to be my slower time of the year, followed by a busy fall.  Instead, I've just seen one of the busiest summers in years, and my fall is a bit easier this time around.  Make no mistake, I'm still going to be on tour like crazy this autumn; I'll just have a little more free time than I'm used to, and be a bit closer to home along the way.

The upcoming weeks have me visiting you fine people in Michigan, Kentucky, Indiana, New York, and Pennsylvania.  Looking forward to enjoying the cool weather (I'm not a fan of the heat) and coming up with new ideas for 2010.  Yes, I know I'm getting older because the years now fly by and this one is no exception.  It will be Christmas before we know it, and a whole new year of comedy awaits us all.

I recently did the Canadian talk show "The Surf", on the very cool network BiteTV.  The interview was recorded LIVE, so I'm interested to see how it came out when I get my copy this week.  I will, of course, post it here in all of it's glory..or lack thereof.  Hope you dig it.

My thanks to everyone from Kansas to Oklahoma to Arkansas to Kentucky to West Virginia who came out and saw my recent shows in July and August.  It seems my career takes me to the hottest locations in the summer and the coldest places in the winter.  Still, I certainly had a blast.  Thanks for coming out and watching me sweat.

I just responded to a slew of emails.  I try to respond as quickly as possible, so keep 'em coming, and I'll keep writing back.

See you this fall,

Ward
